Overview of the Team & Responsibilities:
Treasury’s Global Liquidity and Balance Sheet Modeling team is responsible for the measurement, coordination and oversight of the Corporation’s global liquidity position, Funds Transfer Pricing, including daily LCR, stress testing /contingent liquidity plans, resolution strategic liquidity analyses, intraday liquidity framework and the development and deployment of quantitative modeling approaches of balance sheet products to support the Corporation’s Interest Rate Risk measurement and profitability processes.
The team plays a critical role in performing liquidity & balance sheet modeling, data validation, reconciliation, scenario analysis and reporting of the firm’s Liquidity & Structural Interest Rate risks. The team is responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all information in support of the firm’s internal and regulatory Liquidity Risk and Interest Rate Risk reporting and analytics. The team also partners with a wide range of stakeholders across the firm in reconciliation of balances to the general ledger, strategic sourcing, and automation of feeds from various source systems into the central finance/treasury platforms, ensuring data quality controls in upstream sources & aggregation platforms.
This is an opportunity for self-starter to have a significant impact on Treasury. The candidate will be a key person in Treasury highly experienced work with bankers in Wealth and C&IS Banking & Treasury Services. The candidate will be in charge of:
- The candidate will be Treasury SME driving a full re-write/automation of our matched cost loan pricing tool. This is a $1.5 million project, and will add automation as well as controls on loan pre-payments (resulting in better capture of loan pre-payment penalties).
- Pricing an uncontractual Money Market Portfolio for C&IS Corporate and Broker Clients.
- Manage & Owner of the Money Market Desk website.
- Lead the FTP – Match Loan Loans Automation Project
- Model pricing for Custom & Commercial match cost Loans.
- Determine Prepayment Option Costs for Custom and Commercial Loans.
- Audit all Match Cost Deals and Prepayment fees to ensure the bank is made whole for all losses.
- Set HQLA and Contingency Liquidity Rates for the company
- Manage the communication of key rate changes (Prime Rate Change, etc…)
- Manage Bloomberg terminals within Treasury.
- Lead on Corporate Resolution Planning.
- Develop and maintain relationship with bankers and lenders
- Leader of Business Continuity and Life Safety for the Treasury department.
- Lead on the Corporate Incident Response team for the Treasury department.
- Owner of the Lotus Notes Money Market Desk Pricing tool and Replacement db.
- Manage the database, help documents and conduct training for new lenders
- Owner of the IDM process for the New Replacement Pricing tool.
- Space Planner and Technology Advisor for the Treasury Department.
- Point of Contact for internal and external Auditors on all rate publishing on the MMD website, Funds Transfer Pricing, Swap and Business Continuity Business.
- Owner and Designer of Treasury’s SharePoint Conference & Vacation site.
- Support the Funds Transfer Pricing Function in accordance with Policy. Help prepare monthly treasury data entries and reconciliations
Experience/Skills:
You’ll be a great fit if in addition to the completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics or a related financial field experience, required, you have some of those skills:
- A passion for analytics and for getting it right and doing things the right way
- Ability to design and make business presentations. Continuously improve and construct new capabilities around performance metric analysis and reporting
- Provides information to management by assembling and summarizing data; preparing reports; present findings, analyses, and recommendations.
- Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
- Works independently and regularly handles non-routine situations.
- Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
- Experience with Excel, modeling, and data manipulation
- Strong control mindset including ability to identify risks and maintain associated controls
- 10+ years’ work experience preferably within Finance, Capital Liquidity, ALM, Treasury
- Independent and curious learner. Enjoys unpacking complex concepts and processes.
- Good collaborator with solid judgment. Must gain consensus on decisions that often require buy-in across multiple stakeholders.
- Good understand of the Loans pricing
- Strong working knowledge of Lotus Note and other pricing tool a +
- Understanding of various representations of data from Data Landing to Reporting – Landing, Staging, Aggregations, Subject areas, dimensions
