Senior Tax Compliance Manager, AVP

The Senior Tax Compliance Manager, based in London, will be an integral member of State Street’s UK Corporate Tax Department and will be responsible for State Street’s corporate tax compliance and reporting obligations in the UK, Ireland and Channel Island. The successful candidate will report to State Street’s Tax Managing Director based in London.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing the UK and Irish corporate tax returns prepared by external advisors
• Key liaison with internal and external stakeholders on UK corporate tax matters, including managing interactions with tax authorities working closely with local Finance teams
• Preparation of R&D claims
• Preparation of documentations and calculations supporting the tax returns filed, including the corporate interest restriction, branch capital and bank levy calculations
• Responsible for the Senior Accounting Officer review
• Preparation of UK and Irish transfer pricing documentations
• Preparation or review of statutory accounts tax provisions
• Provide tax training to the accounting team
• Preparation of tax forecasts
• Assisting the tax team with ad-hoc projects and advisory matters as needed

Education and Preferred Qualifications

• ACA or CTA qualified , with a minimum 3 years post qualification experience
• An experienced Manager in a Big 4 Firm or an equivalent legal/accounting/industry role
• Experienced in tax audit, tax accounting and UK corporate tax compliance
• Strong accounting, IT and transformation background
• A team player who is confident in communicating with others and able to work with minimal supervision
• Well-organised and detail-oriented with experience of process improvement
