Job Purpose
To support the execution of Internal Audit activity within AXA IM Group worldwide (Core, Alts, Transversal functions) in order to provide timely, independent assurance and in doing so, to improve the control culture.
Key Accountabilities
- Executes assigned internal audit tests to time and quality standards in line with Group and IIA (Institute of Internal Auditors) standards and in line with the approved audit plan.
- Assists in the development of internal audit programmes.
- Drafts audit reports.
- Gains and maintains an understanding of key business risks and regulatory requirements in the areas/entity covered.
- Interacts efficiently and empathetically with management during audit fieldwork.
- Works with management in tracking action plans to assist with timely resolution.
- Ensures application of GIA (group internal audit) standards/CAPT (audit tool) Methodology during audit reviews
- Is responsible for their own professional development and pro-actively identifies relevant training and development needs and develops their own professional network.

- Quality audit work papers, (Audit Execution, Issue Follow-up, GIA Reporting) delivered on time meeting GIA performance indicators.
- Draft audit reports are relevant and highlight the key issues and route causes appropriately.
- Seeks and acts on feedback and Impact of audit work is recognised positively by relevant business/management.
- Evidence of working proactively with management on management action plans and issue closure, leading to sustainable resolution.
- Awareness and understanding of key objectives, activities, risks, regulatory environment and business developments are demonstrated
- Relevant AXA policies and standards are adhered to
- Evidence own skills and competencies are developed
Dimensions
- AXA IM's internal audit team is only made of senior auditors in a flat structure, all reporting to the Chief Audit Executive, with a seniority level corresponding generally to a manager in "big 4"
- Most work is done in small teams, generally 2 auditors, hence a capacity to work autonomously and to perform all work, from strategy to detailed analysis is expected
- The team culture is collegial and encourages initiative, within respect of standards.

Language:
- Clear written and spoken English, as well as relevant local languages where necessary (nice to have : German, French, other languages used at AXA IM)
Experience:
- Some experience in one or more of Financial Industry (Asset Management, investment banking...) or Internal Audit/other control functions.
- Strong understanding of different systems, theories and practices in a discipline
- Nice to have : knowledge of relevant financial regulations (AMF, FCA, Bafin etc... European regs such as MiFiD II...); experience or appetite for basic analytics (generally Excel, some auditors use Python / Panda / Jupyter)
