Assistant Finance Analyst

The purpose of this role is to provide support to the FP&A team. Primarily supporting profit share reporting to business partners and additionally assisting with other ad hoc internal requirements such as data collation, analysis, and forecasting.

Based in Bristol 2 days per week with home working for the remainder of the week.

Our client is a growing business based in Bristol and they are currently hiring into their FP&A team to support this. The Assistant Finance Analyst is a newly created position.

Description

The Assistant Finance Analyst will be responsible for;

• Preparation of weekly/monthly reporting for business lines operating under profit share agreements
• Assisting with the development and streamlining of reporting where possible with the aim of producing as quickly and efficiently as possible while maintaining 100% accuracy
• Liaising with internal team members to identify and correct any anomalies in data.
• Assisting with the preparation of quarterly profit share reconciliations
• Populating Excel templates with updated data from various sources
• Identifying discrepancies in the data and correcting as required
• Resolving queries in a timely manner
• Assisting with external audit of costs by partners including collation of samples and additional data as required.
• Communicating extensively with members of the internal finance team to identify any issues which could hinder monthly/quarterly profit share reconciliations
• Tracking reconciliations relating to profit share ships in order to quickly identify any issues requiring assistance.
• Providing additional support to the finance team where required to reconcile sales data
• Supporting updating of a contract database. Summarising key points of contracts into an Excel database
• Supporting Operational colleagues in the creation of presentations, with key data and analysis
• Assisting with budgets and re-forecasts as needed.

Profile

The successful candidate will ideally be studying towards a professional accountancy qualification (ACCA or CIMA) and will have a proven track record in a financial role.

Job Offer

A salary of between £25,000 - £35,000 is on offer for the Assistant Finance Analyst role as well as a study package. This role offers excellent progression opportunities.
