General summary:

  • Under supervision, responsible for handling repairs, exceptions and errors for incoming and outgoing wires, swift messages and transfers for domestic and global accounts.
  • Obtain approvals for payments stopping for overdraft.
  • Respond to client inquiries regarding same day payments on the phone and via email.
  • Other responsibilities may include system testing, testing with the Federal Reserve and CHAPS; creating reports; assisting other teams within Global Payments.
  • Ensures proper procedures and controls are followed to minimize losses to the Bank, while maintaining quality service.

Important information about this role:

This job is considered essential - meaning that employees in this role are required to work during business hours even when their normal worksite is unavailable for weather or other types of emergency. This is a hybrid role that requires at least two days in the office. This position may require overtime during peak times, covering some Federal Holidays and participating in system testing exercises on weekends.

Full job description:

The Senior Analyst will perform a variety of tasks for complex processes and functions within a high-risk production environment. This includes:

  • Process and monitor inbound and outbound Wire Transactions, Swift Messages and Transfers for Global and Domestic accounts
  • Work with internal Partners to obtain payment approvals and foreign exchange rates
  • Answer client calls regarding same day wire inquiries
  • Monitor emails for cancellation requests and other queries. Respond timely and accurately.
  • Understand how to use various applications to be able to handle inquiries and exceptions correctly
  • Identify and communicate trends and issues and escalate more complex problems to management
  • Work well under pressure to meet deadlines and be able to handle heavy volumes
  • Perform other duties as needed

Requirements:

  • College degree and/or some relevant work experience in Related Industry is preferred
  • Intermediary Microsoft Office skills, including Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with customer service focus
  • Able to work overtime, Federal Holidays and may be required to perform weekend testing
  • Attention to detail and highly organized individual
  • Flexible and open to tackle multiple demands and extra projects
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts, principles, and solutions
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision, but escalate when necessary
  • Ability to prioritize work and collaborate effectively to meet deadlines and work under pressure in a dynamic and environment
  • Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management
