A global business, with a UK based distribution centre in Telford, are looking to appoint an assistant to support the Financial Controller
The opportunity
This role would suit someone studying AAT or qualified by experience, who is happy undertaking a hands-on varied role with transactional elements while also offering exposure to analysis and management accounts preparation.
You will be:
The individual
You will have experience of accounts and should have a good working knowledge of MS Excel. We are looking for someone analytically minded with strong attention to detail. The role offers an excellent opportunity to work alongside the FC and gain exposure to additional accounting tasks as you develop your experience.

- Posting journals
- Analysing accounts and margins for financial statements reporting
- Managing customs paperwork and VAT import statements, managing postponed invoices
- Analysing performance and forecasting
- Cash flow analysis and daily bank reconciliation
- Assisting with the audit
- Credit control and customer order validation
- Covering purchase ledger where needed
