PURPOSE STATEMENT
Provide timely, informative and proactive analysis and insight to support business needs and decision making
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES
• Business Partner to Sales & Marketing Director and team providing support on product costing, product profitability and bid
• Manage new business costings through the NPD gate process
• Maintain Standard Costs in system for all 3 BU
• Manage process for approval of standard cost updates and ensure D365/AX is maintained accurately and reconciled
• Business Partner with Procurement on Trade Agreements to understand and reconcile price variations and impact to flash forecast
• Report financial impact of promotional activity as part of month-end routine
• Plan and report performance trade promotional activity, for input into flash forecast
• Run BI reconciliation as part of month-end routine to ensure variances are accurately allocated to products
• Report product profitability as part of month-end routine
• Present actual final GM% as per live standards/launch notice for sign off to Finance Director and Sales & Marketing Director
• Update Demand with actuals, update sales prices and maintain model
• Maintain reporting tools for sales by SKU
• Manage monthly cost centre spend reviews and assist FP&A Manager in budget setting
• Responsible for reporting of monthly departmental spend against budget
• At month-end input accruals and prepayments to indirect expenditure as required
• Manage weekly process of Production Batch Orders, reconciling on a weekly basis to ledgers
• Provide insight to operational performance through creation of weekly P&L to GM level
• Business Partner to Plant Manager and team
• Manage ABC pricing/costing model
• Business Partner with R&D to enhance profitability on existing product portfolio through value engineering
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Integrity of Financial Records
• Assist in the timely and accurate month end close within agreed deadlines
• Ensure complete, accurate and timely processing of all transactions
• Assist in the preparation of year-end financial statements
• Ensure clean annual audit opinion
Financial Controls & Systems
• Operate and maintain an effective system of internal controls to ensure margin is protected at SKU level.
• Ensure efficient processes within the financial function and within cross functional processes involving finance
Reporting and Analysis
• Run, analyse & report production orders
• Run sales report for IBP - with reconciliation to COGS
• Develop and manage ledger reports, control systems and internal audit.
• Development of monthly management reports for non-finance manager
• Analysis and reporting against budgets
• Ad hoc financial analysis as required
Business Improvement Activities
• Proactively identify and implement cost saving measures
• Support Finance Director in any other business improvement/analysis projects
