Head of Finance

Simpson Judge have been instructed to recruit an experienced, technically strong Head of Finance on behalf of a fast paced, growing property client in Manchester. Reporting to the Group Finance Director, this role will be responsible for leading and developing the Finance team, producing all financial and Board reporting, including statutory accounts, treasury and cash forecasting. The successful candidate will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified with experience at a similar level, strong leadership skills and ideally had some experience with refinancing. Responsibilities:* Production of all reporting and forecasting * Managing all internal financial reporting requirements* Oversight and review of the production of Group management accounts* Providing variance analysis and reconciling to Group forecast * Working closely with the Finance Director and key stakeholders to prepare the Group Forecast, including key assumptions* Pro-actively reviewing management KPI's and making the appropriate recommendations * Co-ordinating and producing the Board reports* Tracking & coordinating the valuations for all assets held including annual review* Preparation of draft reports to funders and covenants for review* Preparation of the draft monthly funding packs for review* Oversight and review of cashflow management and implementing and overseeing the cost controls* Ensuring good cost control and that operational cash is ringfenced* Responsible for Group insurance including reporting and co-ordinating any renewals* Group Payroll & P11D returns* Assisting with tax planning and ensuring implementation and compliance, including external filing for taxation (i.e. CIS) is accurate and timelyRequirements:* ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified - essential* Strong technical accounting experience * Experience in the property/construction sector* Advanced Excel skills* Strong commercial awareness* Excellent leadership skills and previous experience of leading and managing a team* Experience of working with a PE fund is a distinct advantage
