The Junior Property Accountant role incorporates a blend of property and financial operational management support and general finance administration duties. This is a great opportunity for an Accountant to receive on the job training within the property sector and create an excellent foundation to launch and develop your career.

Picture what you will achieve:

  • Assist providing accurate monthly reporting for properties which may include monthly accrual and prepayment reporting, balance sheet, profit and loss analysis and variance commentaries
  • Assist with the preparation of outgoing reconciliations (monthly & annually), property related IFRS straight-lining calculations, amortization schedules and annual budgets
  • Support the day to day management of a nominated portfolio of commercial properties
  • Great role if you enjoy building client relationships and having a consultative approach to your accounting practices.
  • Opportunity to participate in a range of process improvement initiatives and special projects.

Here are strengths you'll possess and the background you'll need to be successful;

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance; studying towards CPA/CA or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent communication skills and possess a genuine commitment to provide efficient, timely, reliable customer service
  • Strong time management, organisational skills, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Intermediate skills in MS office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Capacity and ability to learn property accounting software
  • A flexible approach to work with the ability to adapt to a changing environment.
