Purpose of the position: A Senior Accountant is responsible for a company's financial procedures, records and statements for compliance with laws and regulations. You will prepare financial statements, verify financial records and transactions, analyze cash flow, review budgets and forecasts, oversee audits, and develop paperwork for regulatory reporting.

Key responsibilities & duties:

?? Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue.

?? Prepare documentation for External Auditors.

?? Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and alert the CFO if necessary.

?? Coordinate semi–annual audits and assist the Accounting Manager in running audits.

?? Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.

?? Oversee accounts payable and receivable

?? Prepare financial statements and regulatory reporting documents

?? Analyze financial reports

?? Maintain account balances and bank statements

?? Assist with audits and taxes

?? Prepare financial reports for taxes, regulatory agencies, and stockholders

?? Manage general ledger and assist month–end and year–end close processes

?? Assist the accounting manager in preparing documents and interpreting complicated financial information for managers, executives, and C–Suite executives

?? Oil and gas working interest revenue processing

?? Joint interest billing

?? Recording revenue, revenue payments and regulatory reporting

?? Settlement and invoicing of gas, crude and NGL's associated with gathering operations, gas imbalance reconciliation and pipeline transmission.

Requirements and Qualifications:

?? Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field

?? Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is preferred

?? 4+ years of experience as an accountant

?? Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software

?? Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

?? Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations

?? Excellent communication skills

?? Bolo oil and gas accounting software is favorable

Compensation:
