INTERNAL AUDITOR

Job Responsibilities:

1. Plan and execute audit plans/activities as well as periodic or ad hoc or special audits/investigations
2. Identify weaknesses in control activities and recommending practical value-adding recommendations for process improvements
3. Hold preliminary discussion of apparent deficiencies with auditee to verify facts and to obtain explanations or reasons for such deficiencies
4. Follow up on implementation of corrective actions
5. Collaborate with Head of Department (HOD) to understand the business operation, assess the operation risks and area of improvement
6. Establish indicator to assess the performance for cost saving & efficiency improvement purposes and assess the performance monthly
7. Examine and analyse data to evaluate the adequacy, efficiency and effectiveness of internal procedures and controls within operational and financial processes
8. Provide strategic advice to improve the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, governance, financial and operational processes and ensure the compliance of the relevant Framework, Standards and Best Practices.
9. Prepare reports, highlight findings and status to the management
10. Any other duties assigned by management from time to time

Requirements:

• Candidates with recognized University Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Management/ and Law or related professional background i.e. ACCA, ICAEW, CPA, CIMA and etc.

• Preferably with Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or Certified Risk Assessor qualifications.

• At least 4 years of working experience in internal audit. Candidates with operation experience in manufacturing or public listed company would be an added advantage

• Good technical knowledge of the related Framework and Standards such as COSO, ERM and Malaysia Code of Corporate Governance.

• Ability to speak and write well in English.

• Good report writing skill is essential

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Possess good analytical skill, meticulous and self-initiative

• Willing to travel locally and overseas
