OBJECTIVE:
The incumbent is primarily responsible for managing the activities of Accounts Payable in the Accounting team in relation with the suppliers while ensuring respect to the payment terms in place. The candidate will perform and coordinate accounts payable and will also be responsible to answer the correspondence with the suppliers verbally or over email. They will also ensure the uniformity of the service to suppliers. You'll establish yourself as a true business partner being very hands on. This is a role that will play to your strengths - exceptional communication skills, systems savviness, business acumen and an ability to excel in a highly entrepreneurial, fast-paced, unstructured environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Enter and update invoices into a database
- Verify invoices, make payments for hotels, passenger transfers, cars, routes, and cruises
- Work closely with various departments and especially with contracting
- Ensure that information is shared between departments and within the team
- Respond to questions and requests from suppliers, the team as well as other departments
- Coordinate with various internal and external departments/suppliers
- Coordinate and plan special requests and special projects with the designated person
- Analyze payables accounting methods always look for ways to improve processes.
- Provide responses to emails and/or phone calls from suppliers regarding disputes and/or urgent unpaid invoices
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in Accounts Payables an asset
- English (spoken, and written a must)
- College diploma or vocational diploma in accounting an asset
- Ability to learn new systems quickly
- Great ease with customer service correspondence
- Detailed oriented and strong time management abilities
- Able to respect deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
