Management Accountant

In this senior role, the Management Accountant reports to the Head of Finance and supports the decision making in the company by providing timely and accurate financial and costing information and leads the budget and forecasting cycles to assist in continued improvement in financial performance.

Responsibilities include:

• Timely and accurate reporting of business performance results to management
• Preparation of annual budgets and monthly rolling estimates for income and expenditure
• Working with all departments and the management team for budget control and to help make financial decisions, including justification for investments via business cases
• Analyzing financial results and forecasts future performance
• Understanding, analyzing and identifying cost savings opportunities in the entire value chain by working with corresponding business area leads
• Recommending ways improving return on investments and cost control
• Developing and managing capital expenditure budgets including post implementation evaluation

Qualifications and skills::

• ACCA, BSc in Accounting or equivalent qualification, preferably with experience in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment
• At least 3-years post qualification experience preparing financial statements and related reports and cost analysis and control (ideally in a manufacturing entity) with at least 5 year of experience using recognised accounting and budgeting software
• Highly competent in use of MS Excel for reporting, modeling and analysis as well as MS PowerPoint for presentations. Experience with BI Tools such as Power BI will be an asset
• Knowledge of MS Dynamics GP and/or BOARD (or similar) planning/budgeting Management Intelligence software will be an asset
• An ability to interpret and explain complex financial information in a clear way with excellent communication and presentation skills
