This role will cover all elements of the management accounting function, plus some transactional elements. You will also have the opportunity to step into supervisory responsibilities. There is a fantastic combination of autonomy and wider team support for the right candidate.
Client Details
My client is a growing fintech company based in central London. Their recent and sustained growth has created the need to add to their team with an experienced Management Accountant, ideally at or close to Finalist Level with their ACCA or CIMA qualification.
Description
Reporting to the Head of Finance, some of your responsibilities will include;
- Preparation of monthly management accounts including preparation of underlying schedules and reconciliations
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
- Manage a small team of accounts assistants
- Ensure transaction processing is accurate and up to date
- Preparation of statutory reports and returns including National Statistics, VAT
- Support the transition to a new accounts system (SAP By Design) during 2022
- Ad-hoc duties as required to support Finance Operations
Profile
The key skills and experience of the ideal candidate will include;
- Finalist level accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with strong management accounting experience gained in a multi-ledger, multi-currency centralised environment
- Knowledge of sales and purchase ledger processes from start to finish
- Working knowledge of VAT regulations for international service delivery
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines
- Excellent computing skills including Outlook, Excel and cloud-based accounting systems. Xero and SAP ByDesign experience are desirable
- Self-starter proactive work ethic with a willingness to provide support where required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, spoken German or French would be an advantage
- Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of a growing business
