Payment Operations team is responsible of cash management services, trade finance services, regulatory reporting and account management, among other governance and control responsibilities. The global operating model includes teams based in Bournemouth, Tampa, Bangalore, Mumbai and Manila with presence in EMEA across 10 countries

Department Description

The team, based out of India, is responsible for producing, automating and controlling regulatory reporting and obligations across multiple legal entities in EMEA.. The team is seen as a Specialist Matter Expert with the regulations and its related changes, devise policy and design processes and system solutions in close partnership with multiple stakeholders including Product, Compliance, Technology and the Operations Managers.,

Job Summary
  • Deliver and support the Regulatory Operating model across EMEA Wholesale Payment Operations under the EEA Central team
  • Deliver automation and standardisation of process across the EMEA Operations team to increase efficiency and control under the guidance and supervision of the EEA Central Team
  • Build automation and establish quality controls in the build and in the submission.
  • Build test cases, perform UAT , document testing results.
  • Build knowledge of the systems and processes
  • Support the maintenance and administration of the tactical solution after release to production to solve and fix programming defects (errors, bugs) or performance problems.
  • Ensure and provide written documentation of application/tool/procedures, ensure proper version control and prepare description for users how to operate the application/tool (user handbook).
  • Partner with key stakeholders over the processes.
  • Participate in meeting, calls and provide accurate information
  • Escalate issues when appropriate and communicate status and development updates
  • Adhere to procedures, guidelines, policies.
  • Continuously strive towards more efficient and robust processes in joint cooperation with the EEA Central team who will be driving the solution design, framework and progress
  • Adhere to data quality principles, work towards excellence on deliverables
  • Understanding and documenting the regulatory requirements across EMEA Regulatory Obligations
  • Eliciting, analysing and documenting business requirements, adhering to Business Analysis standards e.g. deliverables, methodologies and practices
  • Review regulatory business initiatives to ensure objectives, scope and requirements are clearly defined and documented control under the guidance and supervision of the EEA Central Team
  • Identifying and evaluating the impact of change for clients, products, processes and functions
  • Collaborating with Technology teams to develop functional requirements
  • Supporting the testing and implementation of business change and documenting the requirements
  • Engaging stakeholders as a trusted conduit, ensuring all parties understand the project objectives and requirements
  • Considering the broad implications of business change and how it aligns to/impacts business strategy


Skills Required
  • Experience in or significant exposure to project management disciplines. Either as a project manager or as a stakeholder.
  • Applicants should be self-motivated, able to influence partners and colleagues with good interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to the changing requirements of the business.
  • Banking knowledge, with payments knowledge an advantage.
  • Ability to collaborate with business partners and functional support areas
  • Ability to provide written and verbal updates appropriate for senior management
  • Ability to produce reporting and metrics suitable for Senior Management
  • Responsive and accessible to stake holders
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills
  • Accountability and ownership over the functions performed
  • Demonstrate a control and risk mindset, with the ability to anticipate control gaps and determine appropriate remediation plans
  • General knowledge of cloud computing platforms, data analytical tools is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project)
  • JIRA, Tableau, Alteryx knowledge is a plus


Qualifications / years of experience:
  • Engineer, Mathematics, Economics, Commerce or Business Administration degree
  • +5 years of experience
