Project Analyst

The primary objective of the job:

The Finance Project Analyst is responsible for assisting with the overarching governance over ongoing transformation projects. They will support the Project Office Manager to mitigate the risk of inflight projects and ensure their mutual success. This includes support to ensure that different projects are progressing in an orderly and timely manner / aligned / dependencies met / resource conflicts managed etc. Provides quality and risk inputs to ensure 'safe' delivery and enable sharing of best practice cross-projects. Provides input and supports the overall transformation story so the end-user experience is optimized and coherent.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the project team
  • Manage project calendar, schedule meetings, and record decisions (e.g. assigned tasks and next steps)
  • Preparation, organization, and distribution of project documentation and reports
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of project plan, creating a timeline, and setting benchmarks
  • Support the mitigation of organizational level risk
  • Supports the deployment of quality standards & quality management approach
  • Input into the collation and sharing of best practice approaches/methodologies
  • Supports the development & deployment of the overall transformation change story i.e. ensuring an end-user understands the overall journey and how each project contributes
  • Contributes to value management ensuring target benefits of individual projects
Critical Success Factors:
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and support the successful delivery of complex projects
  • Supporting the delivery of the project with agreed output
  • Strong organizational skills including the ability to manage deadlines effectively
Academic qualifications and experience required:
  • University degree
  • PMP or PRINCE2 certified desirable
  • Two to three (2- 3) years of relevant experience in project execution
  • Able to support the delivery of projects
  • Commercial and operational acumen, through the experience of finance business partnering or adjacent functions desirable
  • Proficiency in using MS products, such as Excel, Word, SharePoint, and Teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Functional Skills and abilities:
  • Ability to interact with leadership, key stakeholders, employees, and suppliers in a professional manner.
  • Ability to work with on own initiative.
