An outstanding opportunity to join us in this role that entails a thorough understanding of the regulatory landscape as well as the bank’s UK and EU IB businesses and other operations in EMEA. Specific additional role requirements:

  • EBA and UK Resolution Requirements
  • Understand regulatory expectations and implement Industry best-practice
  • Work with owners of the Group resolution capabilities, providing guidance and ensuring deliverables, responsibilities and timelines are clear to achieve recovery and resolvability outcomes.
  • Review and challenge regulatory submissions as the second line of defence
  • Recovery Planning
  • Enhance the existing framework for Recovery Planning for EU & UK entities and contribute to the Group Recovery Plan where applicable
  • Contribute to RRP developments working closely with colleagues globally and support efforts to further embed RRP initiatives in the firm and integrate them in to business as usual

The Recovery and Resolution Office (RRO) is a department within Treasury responsible for Recovery and Resolution Planning (RRP), as well as interpreting and communicating resulting requirements and ensuring they are integrated in the bank’s operational processes. The RRO produces both Group and Legal Entity specific Recovery Plans which detail Credit Suisse’s preparations to manage a severe financial crisis, including documenting specific recovery options available to Credit Suisse. Recovery Plans are typically refreshed on an annual basis and require significant cross-divisional input and coordination. Failure to recover from a severe stress could force Credit Suisse into resolution. A number of Global capabilities have been developed to enable the successful resolution and subsequent restructuring of CS should this extreme scenario ever occur. The RRO is also responsible for the second line of defense review and assessment of these resolution capabilities against regulatory expectations. The EMEA RRO team cover a broad range of activities in the field of Recovery and Resolution for UK and EU entities. Within all areas of resolution capability Credit Suisse is looking for solutions that are effective and efficient globally. Thus there is a focus in all activities on global co-operation to achieve this. We are looking for:

Strong academic background; minimum of a Bachelor’s degree; Proven experience in Financial Services; Knowledge of investment banking products, valuations and financial modelling; Self-starter with the ability to manage work independently; Proven understanding of a major bank’s functions, particularly the treasury function and drivers of capital; Experience working within global teams; Evidence of strong stakeholder management skills on senior management level; Personal characteristics:Strong attention to detail; Ability to examine challenges from multiple perspective; Outstanding communication and presentation skills; Proven writing/editing skills; Excellent qualitative and quantitative analytical skills; Solution drivenDedication to fostering an inclusive culture and value diverse perspectives Your new employer
