Group Accountant

This role requires a technically competent, driven and ambitious candidate who will report directly to the Group Financial Controller. This role will provide exposure to a PE transaction and also support the business through mass growth so there is plenty of opportunity for progression.

My client are a PE backed manufacturing business based in Merseyside. They are on track to double their turnover in the next few years so this is a great opportunity to join a fast paced business with plenty of progression opportunities.

Description

• Accounting entries and completion of the Management Accounts
• Treasury management including establishment of new finance leases for asset purchases
• Management of the group wide financial reporting, ensuring month end and year end procedures are appropriate and adhered to
• Group consolidation, including relevant consolidation journals and outputs such as the reserves reconciliation
• Group capex reporting and control
• Provide technical expertise and advice on accounting and tax matters, liaising with finance team members, tax advisors or auditors as required
• Drafting the statutory accounts and preparation / analysis of data for tax calculations
• Challenge group balances in terms of accuracy and validity (including balance sheet reconciliations)
• Key team member in the delivery of the annual external audit, ensuring adequate preparation, timely management of requests and maintaining excellent communication throughout

Profile

• Qualified accountant
• Strong technical skills, either trained in practice or industry
• Ambitious and enthusiastic

Job Offer

• Salary for the role is up to £45,000 (dependent on experience)
• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension, life assurance, cycle to work
• The role will ideally be 100% site based, however there will be some flexibility
