Bookkeeper and Administrator, with the following roles and responsibilities:

  • Familiarisation with and use of the Company's practice management system (Lawman)
  • Bank recs and account recs 
  • Data entry (bank account and credit card transactions)
  • Cashflow forecasting
  • Updating spreadsheets (daily summary, WIP summary, payroll, etc) so good excel skills are a must
  • Scanning and uploading invoices, saving pdf invoices, ensuring that appropriate records are maintained for audit purposes (good organisation skills required)
  • Creating and emailing invoices and receipts
  • Contacting suppliers, banks, HMRC etc as required
  • Chasing fee earners for client payments 
  • Purchase ledger payments
  • VAT returns (through Lawman)
  • ensuring authorities are signed for the client account
  • liaising with external accountants and preparing end of year information e.g. bank statements, invoices, authorities etc
  • other ad-hoc duties as required
