Who we are looking for

Manages the performance of assigned teams and relationships. Proactively develops and maintains external and internal relationships. Oversees and sets strategy for teams delivering service to clients specifically inquiry management. Develops understanding of clients strategies and seeks business solutions to meet their needs. Leads the development of department objectives and oversees implementation. Serves as a representative of the department in client settings.

What you will be responsible for

  • Ensures day to day client service operations are running effectively and meeting department and client needs.

  • Develop strong and positive working relationships with business areas and clients.
  • Create strategy and set goals for client service unit.
  • Evaluate performance vs. client expectations.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the client experience.
  • Manage internal and external client perception of services delivered and operations for which support is provided.
  • Supervises, typically with operational focus, in area of functional expertise. Develops and establishes operational policies within area managed. May participate in development of functional strategy
  • Manages activities of a broad functional area through first level managers and exempt specialists. Has overall responsibility for, schedules, and performance standards for the organizational unit
  • Participates in the development of overall objectives and long term goals of the organization: Faulty decisions would normally have a serious effect on the success of functional, divisional, or company operations

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree required. MBA desirable
  • Must have a minimum of 7-10 years of related experience, preferably in financial services industry.
  • Experience in relationship management, strong verbal and written communications skills, and some experience with presentations a must.
  • Must possess leadership and management skills.
  • Knowledge of computer systems, financial operations and/or mutual fund and related industries a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
