TMF Group is undergoing operational transformation that includes the rollout of new digital technologies, introduction of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and creation of four ‘Regional Delivery Centres’ (RDCs). Our Centres will form part of the reshaped client delivery model. The RDC in APAC will provide resources to support delivery Teams in various TMF offices across APAC as well as centralized services to selected global Clients.

Job purpose

As part of our RDC program, we are now looking for an experienced Transition Project Manager that will support migration of work into our RDCs. Transition Project Manager will coordinate and manage portfolio of the assigned transition and other assignments end to end (planning & execution) as well and develop existing Transition Methodology

Key accountabilities

  • Manage directly selected transitions, including setup of centralized services for selected Clients, including planning, coordination, support, and project transition progress during migration process.
  • Embrace and contribute to further development of transition methodology used (governance model, risk management, planning, tracking tools, templates, reporting)
  • Provide coordination, communication and support across Teams involved in transition, including project management resources, internal subject matter experts, Process/Practice Owners, technical support, etc.
  • Manage organizationally complex work, mitigating risk from the start through to life of transition project and each wave of transition.
  • Interface with internal functions (HR & Recruitment, Finance, IT, Facility) to ensure RDC as a site is prepared to onboard new staff and take over work from local offices and clients.
  • Create and keep detailed project plans to manage interdependencies across transition projects and cooperation between markets and RDC resources.
  • Ensure change control to manage deviations
  • Provide company-wide guidance during unplanned changes
  • Identify any transition-related issues, maintain and monitor progress for transition changes, issues, risks, and deviations; including progress tracking on actions, risks mitigation and ensuring issues are resolved in a timely manner and the appropriate corrective actions/solutions are implemented.
  • Adhere to relevant escalation processes to escalate resource issues, delayed project phases, missed deadlines and other planning issues
  • Ensure project milestones are agreed and published and key dates and deliverables are communicated with involved parties.
  • Manage the expenditure within selected projects and support Operational Excellence Team in benefit realization tracking
  • Effectively manage the stakeholders and support change and communication initiatives
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored.
  • Review the outcomes of each migration wave to determine any corrective actions that could be taken to improve future transitions in terms of timeline, quality of knowledge transfer, cost, and satisfaction of internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure cooperation between all RDCs to enable best practice sharing and standardization of transition methodology across all centers.
  • Oversee the stabilization period quality measures and ensure projects are not closed until these have been met

Key requirements

  • At least 6-8 years of experience of transitioning complex projects, excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational skill and at least 4-5 years of experience in general ledger accounting/Record-to-Report and P2P area
  • Proven experience in a multi-country, multiple legal entity environment
  • Previous experience in BPO/SSC/Centralized delivery model will be advantage
  • Previous experience in leading teams.
  • Good knowledge of accounting, GAAP, corporate practices; IFRS knowledge will be an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – must be able to communicate fluently in English both verbally and in writing
  • MS Office literacy; Workday Financials or other ERP systems as beneficial.
  • University degree preferable in Accounting, Finance or Economics as beneficial
  • Proactive and engaged attitude;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to details
  • Continuous improvement mindset and process orientation and a solution orientated work approach
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve conflict in an effective and timely manner.
