Here at Serco, we are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to provide accurate financial and management information across a portfolio of contracts to the Leisure Senior team, assisting where necessary to enable them to make well informed business decisions.
As part of this you'll:
• Provide accurate and timely financial reporting including the production of monthly accounts with insightful and actionable commentary on key business drivers.
• Take responsibility of producing accurate balance sheets to include in monthly reviews and quarterly reviews.
• Support in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to support contract teams.
• Promote and lead on continuous improvement of financial processes and maintain the billing of handover schedules.
• Cash Management for contract portfolio and ad hoc work required.
What you'll need to do the role
First and foremost, you'll need to hold a professional qualification with a recognised accounting body along with relevant finance experience such as ACCA or CIMA qualified. You will have a track record of collaborating with business leaders in a complex business environment. You will show evidence of your ability to influence, negotiate, listen, and resolve conflicts with key decision makers. You will have a strong commercial acumen, as well as demonstratable experience of understanding relationships between key financial and non-financial business value drivers. Lastly, you will show evidence of building trust with a team allowing direct conversations and not sanitising messages.
