this role will provide the link to the FP&A team, and is a core role within the Region finance team.

Description

Financial accounting 60%
lead local accounting team's daily work including financial accounting (PTP, OTC and RTR), tax and treasury, to ensure the compliance with statutory and taxation requirements in China.
Ensure financial data's accuracy and take in charge of monthly BS & P/L item reconciliation between management reports and PRC reports.
To improve related internal process and procedure per IFRS/PRC GAAP or company group requirements to improve business efficiency.
Ensure the compliance of policies, regulations and process in the company; Ensure adequate and effective internal controls are in place.
Drive process change to standardize working procedure, improve work efficiency, quality or internal control, enhance system automation.
Ensure appropriate control framework is in place and operating effectively, with particular focus on Selling Costs and Brand Investment spend.
Ensure appropriate documentation of policies and processes are in place and deliver effective training to related parties.
Lead, and manage through the matrix, all financial accounting activities in the market, including GBS, Control, Credit. Ensure all teams joined-up appropriately to drive business performance in the right way.
Working closely with finance controller and local compliance manager, implement global and regional policies, procedures and processes which relate to the finance function, and ensure continuous adherence within the China business.
Business partnering with cross function, to maintain a strong relationship with key stakeholders and support front line growth.

Tax and Treasury 15%
Lead Tax Planning & Treasury Management, working with Big 4 to ensure compliance with all statutory and taxation requirements (e.g. Transfer Pricing, custom and etc.)

FP&A 10%
Support senior FP&A manager with planning, budgeting and forecasting, to help drive business performance.
Drive the development of insight generation through financial analysis and business acumen to support commercial decision making.

Project 15%
Lead process improvement project of the team.
Support global & regional projects.

Profile

Qualifications & Experience
Degree qualified with finance or accounting qualification and relevant industry FMCG experience preferred.
Minimum of 8 years financial accounting experience in MNC or accounting firm. More than 2 years manager position experience in MNC.
Excellent financial reporting and analysis techniques and be familiar with IFRS, China tax policy, strong sense of internal control.
Fluent English skills in both speaking and writing.
Systems/software - experience in using Microsoft Excel (essential) as well as previous exposure to ERP and management reporting/consolidation systems (preferable).
Cross functional working - proven experience in working proactively across commercial functions to deliver total business performance solutions.
Stakeholder engagement and management - demonstrated experience in influencing and managing multiple stakeholders, building mutually beneficial, profit-focused business relationships.
