Your field of responsibility

This is an exciting opportunity to partner with business and various collaborators across the firm to develop and produce analysis and regular reporting to senior management. Reporting will be used to make decisions on future business strategy and helps senior management fully understand business drivers for Consolidated US Operations (CUSO)

Applicant will be responsible for production of daily, weekly and monthly line of business financial results along with business commentary which explains material variances – month on month, vs. budget, vs. forecast etc.

Instrumental in ensuring metrics and data is maintained and archived in our system accurately and consistently along with assist in implementing controls/reconciliation for accuracy

Ability to support the overall reporting needs of legal entity Financial Planning & Analysis team (across Raleigh and NY) and contribution to ad-hoc presentations for senior management with collaboration across all divisions in the entities

Your skills and experience

The role is an opportunity to work in a fast paced CFO function and gain a wide variety of financial experience and exposure to all of the Firm’s businesses and Planning and Forecasting process. The role encourages collaboration with business partners in various Finance and Risk functions

  • An undergraduate degree is required. CPA / CFA / MBA would be advantageous
  • Equivalent experience in FP&A, Product Control, Financial Control or Financial Reporting would be preferred
  • Excellent communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills. Ability to collaborate and work across many groups with in Credit Suisse
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to write concisely and reduce complex concept and detailed documents into succinct summaries
  • Phenomenal analytical problem solver who can retrieve and interpret data and present conclusions clearly and accurately
  • Understanding of investment banking and trading is a strong plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office – Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Knowledge of Hyperion / Essbase or IBM Cognos FP&A tools would be an advantage.
  • A self-starter who can work independently and manage multiple results whilst still achieving timelines
