Hybrid working, UK

9 months FTC

Our partner is a well-recognised UK-based charity; in addition to working with individuals directly, they provide training to other organisations in the UK to enable them to support people living under challenging circumstances.

They are currently going through a systems implementation, and are seeking an Interim Finance Manager to provide financial oversight, whilst resources are diverted into the implementation.

  • Monitoring and undertaking/preparing reconciliations for bank, debtors, creditors and payroll.
  • Providing financial analysis to support strategic decision making to the programmes teams.
  • Providing analysis in support of the year-end reconciliations and preparation of the year-end accounts.
  • Ensuring that the organisation is operating under a strong control environment, including ensuring compliance to internal controls, and data protection requirements.
  • Making recommendations for potential operational efficiencies and improvements in their practices and procedures.

  • Part-qualified accountant with a strong accounting background covering the review and strengthening of controls and processes, preparing management accounts & reports, undertaking complex reconciliations, assisting with year-end accounts preparation.
  • Strong IT and systems skills, including advance MSExcel skills.
  • Demonstrable business partnering skills – able to work effectively with finance and non-finance staff.
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Good time management skills, able to manage a varied workload.

This is a 9 month FTC with an immediate start preferred. This is a hybrid role, with the individual expected to be office-based at least 1 day/week in London.
