Job brief

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for the financial status by developing and implementing systems for reporting, verifying, analyzing and gathering information. We are on the look out for someone who can work closely with our finance and data team.

Accounting Manager responsibilities include: 

• Accountable for managing the daily operations of the accounting department.  
• Producing accurate financial reports & statements based on the accounting data. 
• Monitoring and analyzing accounting data to provide actionable insights. 
• Ensuring that relevant accounting principles, policies and methods are adhered to. 
• Establishing swift solutions for data transfers to meet challenging payout frequencies.

Duties: 
Monitoring the day-to-day operations of the accounting department including: 

• Week, month and end-year process 
• Payroll and utilities 
• Data log activity 
• Debt activity 
• Accounts payable/receivable  
• Treasury, budgeting 
• Cash forecasting 
• Check runs 
• Fixed asset activity 
• General ledger  
• Client financial management  
• Cash receipts 
• Producing financial reports and statements by analyzing and monitoring accounting data 
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles 
• Coordinate and complete annual audits 
• Provide recommendations 
• Initiate corrective actions in order to improve systems and procedures.
• Direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy along with assigning projects  
• Construct and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions. 
• Meet financial accounting objectives.

Requirements and skills: 

• Proven working experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting supervisor or Finance Manager 
• Expert computer skills on MS Office, accounting databases and softwares.  
• Ability to manipulate large amounts of data 
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations 
• High attention to detail and accuracy 
• Ability to direct and supervise 
• BS degree in Accounting or Finance 
• Early CA welcome
