Key job responsibilities
As a business analyst, you will/may:
Work with business stakeholders/SMEs to collect / document well-defined requirements to build analytical solutions that enables effective, data-driven business decisions. You will work with stakeholders to build optimal solutions.
Build/maintain/deliver business data sets, queries, reports, dashboards, analyses that meets the needs of business within schedules working with BIEs and Data Engineers.
Assist in creation, and testing of data structures using one or more schema definition languages (e.g. DDL, DML, SDL, XSD, RDF) on RedShift, MySQL, Aurora and other databases as directed by technical team.
Help build/test/debug visualization tools solutions(e.g. Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and, as needed, help setup and validate statistical methods (e.g. regression, t-test, Chi-squared) to deliver actionable insights to stakeholders.

You will be part of a startup BI Team that is putting together the infrastructure/processes as we build BI Solutions, so is a great learning opportunity that will help in advancing your career.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in math/statistics/engineering or other equivalent quantitative discipline at time of application (or graduated less than six months prior to application).
Experience with business analysis, gathering requirements, stakeholder management, data querying or modeling with SQL on databases like RedShift and experience with building and maintain basic data artifacts.
Experience with analytics visualization tools (e.g. Excel, , QuickSight) and basic statistical methods. Ability to work with Business Intelligence, Data engineers to build BI solutions.
Excellent verbal/written communication skills and data presentation skills, Ability to deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's or advanced technical degree Experience in AWS Ecosystem - S3, Lamda, API Gateway, EC2, VPC etc.
Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design to build complex architectures.
Knowledge of AMZL Data and operations and data environments will be plus.
Application of statistical methods (e.g. regression, clustering, K-Means) for difficult business problems will be helpful.
Knowledge of how to write and improve code in QS, SQL written by Data Engineers, Business Intelligence engineers will be very helpful.
