Job Description 

Your field of responsibility

This role is responsible for handling Corporate Functions impacting critical re-orgs driven restatements of Actuals & Headcounts along with multiple manual requests of Actual and Budget transfers.

This role involves below activities which impacts globally –

  • Assess an impact of organizational changes and prepare Expense & Headcount Allocations, Revenue restatements for historical periods to keep the externally published financials intact
  • Match Budget Transfer & Restatement request details against GRM input
  • Provide Budget Transfers details to business partners (CF Planning, ACF Budget Allocation, IT Portfolio Team)
  • Submit Cross-divisional budget transfer requests in BPS and align with Divisional controllers to get these transfers approved
  • Review Re-org driven restatements & Manual Actuals & Budgeted Expense & HC journals and ensure nil impact to externally reported financials
  • Adhere to the Internal & SoX controls while analyzing the impact of the entries & posting the journals to the ledger
  • Ensure four eye check control is applied over the Budget Transfer & Restatement entries
  • Document SoX evidences
  • Close co-ordination with GMR team to analysis the Direct Expense, HC & corresponding Allocation impact
  • Acquire LEC’s approval and handle their queries around the restatement bookings
  • Ensure Budgeted Expense & Headcount journals are matching to the request amount and post the entries in Peoplesoft with the help of FAM team
  • Handling queries of various partners & provide timely solution & support
  • Reconciliation of Budget & Actuals against current month transfers

Post Actual Expenses & Headcount journals in Peoplesoft with the help of FAM team by adhering to below controls

  • Ensure journal is nil at BU & ADAC level (Combination)
  • Journal should be nil by Business Reference, Source Department, Accounts
  • Overall journal should be Zero by Period and Currency
  • Direct Expense impact should offset with allocations
  • APAC base cost centre’s should be replaced with R06 for allocation legs

As part of this team, the process involves rigorous co-ordination with numerous partners across the bank and close collaboration with business partners like GMR, Allocations, Group Planning & Forecasting and FAM.

  • The candidate should be a Chartered Accountant / MBA Finance / or proven experience in the finance domain is essential
  • Familiarity and hands on experience of ERP and financial ledger concepts like allocations is a must
