The Role

This role is within our Corporate Action Team which is part of our overall Luxembourg Fund Administration team, within our asset servicing business. The team is responsible for Corporate Action events management on behalf of our clients.

The role would suit an ambitious, energetic individual with strong organisational & planning skills. Individuals with previous experience in fund administration, Corporate action management or accounting are of particular interest for the role. The team is going through a period of change, therefore solution orientated candidates with experience of process improvement, with an adaptable approach and willingness to learn would be very well suited to this role.

Job Description:

Working in the Fund Administration Trade Processing team in Luxembourg, you will be part of a team that is central to the success of our fund administration activities, with responsibility for the validation of trades & capture of security linked corporate actions for Funds administered in Luxembourg. The team are in close contact with internal and external Custody.

  • Process end to end workflow; deal with the daily notifications, transactions from the providers and ensure the correct booking in the Portfolio.
  • Ensure that the securities and cash related to an event in the market are properly traded and accounted in the Portfolio
  • Perform activities related to set up of voluntary and mandatory Corporate action events (equities, bonds).
  • Ensure the accuracy of the booking of the dividends payment into the fund and perform the reconciliation between the Custodian depository and the Funds.
  • Review Withholding Tax Accruals linked to fund held assets
  • Required Interpersonal Skills:

  • Assist other colleagues. Act as effective team member within the unit and with other units by imparting knowledge and offering assistance as appropriate

  • Ability to work in a structured pattern, setting priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, as this role requires interaction at all levels of the organisation and externally.

Skills / Experience:

  • Entry level experience: Degree in accounting, finance, economics or equivalent. (BAC+2 or 3 in accounting, finance, economics or similar)
  • Some experience in Corporate action event management and / or a keen interest of the Fund Investment Industry, fund accounting, accounts payable, financial and regulatory reporting background an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills, fluent English necessary.
  • Excellent desktop, IT and systems skills. Experience of GP3 advantageous. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel essential. Good Knowledge of Excel Functions (VBA is an asset)
  • Very good Knowledge of different types of instruments: Futures, Options, Swaps, CFD’s, Bonds, Equities
  • Understanding of fund business workflows and its various actors (Custody, TA, Portfolio Managers,…)
