Who we are looking for
Reporting to the team Manager, the candidate will be part of a team that is responsible for Depositary duties as required under AIFMD and UCITS V regulations.
Your Manager will assign you to particular responsibilities consistent with the needs of the business. Continuous improvement is an on-going task and varying degrees of responsibility will be assigned to you in the context of any given project or initiative. In essence, you are a self-starter, capable of working within a team that will be interpreting complex problems and recommending and driving appropriate solutions in addition to escalating any issues as they arise, ensuring that there are no surprises.
The candidate needs to have a comprehensive overview of Depositary and service providers interacting with a Fund, ensuring that issues are reviewed and tracked, where necessary escalated to your Manager.

In the role of Portfolio Administration Specialist, you will be responsible for:
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate as part of a team that carries out reviews of client fund activity in order to determine ownership verification requirements.
- Ensure all agreements/formal documents to evidence ownership rights are obtained from the AIFM/ManCo. and that copies of statements to perform ownership verification are received from relevant brokers.
- Demonstrate an understanding of all systems required for completing AIFMD / UCITS V ownership verification.
- In conjunction with your Manager, escalate any anomalies detected or queries that are outstanding in accordance with the AIFMD/UCITS V escalation process.
- Contribution to monthly and board reporting review activities
- Contribute new ideas / procedures to further streamline the operational processes.
- Resolution of internal queries.
- Work with your Manager to field Client queries to ensure the highest level of service.
- Build strong working relationships with the your team, Clients and contacts across the business.
- Identify any risks within the ongoing verification and ensure that these are addressed.

- Develop and maintain scorecards and metrics.
- Collect, analyze, package and communicate data at various levels for use by stakeholders
Individual Responsibilities
- Build expertise in functional and technical knowledge across multiple disciplines attending training as required
- Complete accurate processing of system information to meet internal standards (SOPS, Job Aids etc.)
- Collaborate with others to drive success of team
- Raise ideas to manager to support operational improvements
- Respond in a timely manner to queries such as clients/internal departments
- Identify and report all risk and compliance issues, breaches and suspicious activities
- Act in accordance with Risk Excellence as part of our Way Ahead foundation .

Work experience in the financial sector or exposure to depositary/custody is a requirement.
