Who we are looking for

The Capital Management group within Global Treasury is responsible for the following functional areas: Capital Policy, Capital Planning, Capital Structure, Rating Agency relationships, Stress Testing and end-to-end program management for the Federal Reserve’s annual Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) and for various entities of State Street, the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessments Process (ICAAP). This position is within the EMEA Capital Management team and will be a key contributor to State Street's Capital Adequacy Framework and legal entity specific stress testing programs (i.e. ICAAP). You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders across the organization, including Finance, Risk, Treasury, Business (First Line of Defense), senior management and others. Location of work will be either Munich or Dublin.

This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.

What you will be responsible for

As Capital Management Analyst, you will

  • Project Manage and execute processes of an ICAAP, including designing and reviewing stress tests, and facilitating workshops with the Business and Risk colleagues
  • Review the output of complex excel-based financial models used for capital adequacy stress testing and capital forecasting
  • Analyze stress results, encompassing preparation of meeting materials and presentation to working groups & management committees
  • Keeping up-to-date with global capital regulatory change and assist with implementing solutions to ensure compliance with any regulatory regime changes (e.g. CRD V, Investment Firm Directive)
  • Collaborate with Bangalore COE to support transformation initiatives for example optimizing processes to automate data collection, modelling and reporting therein
  • Support requests from Audit, Model Validation Group, local regulators and other oversight teams to drive effective risk management
  • Proactively initiate and support process improvements across State Street Capital Adequacy frameworks (inclusive of Liquidity Risk Management Framework and RRP where appropriate )
  • Prepare ad-hoc analyses as requested by senior management, with the ability to translate detailed information into concise, actionable items

  • Strong understanding of financial modelling and analytical skills with comfort in reviewing and interpreting the output of capital and/or forecasting models
  • High degree of attention to detail and focus on error-free execution and ability to work under pressure to meet agreed upon deliverable dates
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Education & preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in business, finance, economics or accounting
  • 3-5 years experience in financial services with exposure to capital management, and capital forecasting, finance, or risk management
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
