The Position

The role of financial services (“FS”) risk consulting is to provide independent assurance on FS risk management, internal controls and governance processes. We work with our clients to identify and critically evaluate the framework and controls in place in order to report any potential weaknesses.

Our FS risk consulting team work with and support a range of financial institutions in banking, asset management, Virtual Asset Service Providers (e.g. crypto currency exchanges), payment services and leasing.
This role will give a holistic view and valuable insight into how organisations operate while also developing a broad range of skills which will assist you in your professional career.

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone considering beginning their career as a graduate trainee accountant as it will give you a real feel what is involved in our graduate programme here in Mazars while also getting involved in CSR and Sports & Social initiatives.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assisting managers in the performance of client engagements
  • Examining and documenting client’s policies and procedures and internal controls
  • Planning and executing tests of internal controls

Requirements:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, rigour and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent computer-literacy skills
