We are an exciting fast-growing company seeking to recruit an Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper to join our team on a permanent and full time basis. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, well organised, energetic, proactive, analytical and a good communicator.  

The chosen person will be reporting directly to Managing Director and the outsourced financial controller.

Duties will include the following:-

Bookkeeping

  • Recording and allocating all customer invoices and receipts on accounting software
  • Recording and allocating all supplier invoices and payments on accounting software.
  • Maintain bank reconciliations and post all bank transactions
  • Assisting outsourced Financial Controller with production of monthly management accounts
  •   Other ad-hoc duties as they arise
  •   Adherence to strict deadlines

 Credit Control

  • To manage accounts receivable function to include sending monthly statements, deal with customer queries, chase overdue invoices

Prepare monthly invoices for consultants

  • Consultant fee reconciliations and issue monthly invoices

Office Administration

  • Record all leave taken by employees, annual leave, sick leave and other
  • Compute gross wages for all employees including salaried, hourly, and output-based.
  • Other ad-hoc duties as they arise

Experience and requirements:

  • 3 years minimum experience in a similar role.
  • IATI Qualified or ACCA Part Qualified
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong IT skills, specifically with Excel (Experience using Xero would be an advantage)
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision

The role can be a full time role but might also be suited to certain candidates on a 4-day week basis.
