Your field of responsibility

An outstanding opportunity to join us as a Finance Controller in the Compliance COO Financial Management team located in Zurich. You will have the opportunity to partner with various Compliance functions on financial and headcount management matters, including financial reporting, planning, budgeting and forecasting. Furthermore, you’ll be responsible to deep dive into other financial topics like CtB CAPEX and Compliance Portfolio numbers.

In your role, you will be responsible for:

  • Deep dive into CtB CAPEX numbers for Compliance (IT and non IT)
  • Close collaboration with Compliance Portfolio team to understand the CtB demand and the impact on the cost accounting
  • Lead monthly expense report process, analyzing drivers and providing commentary e.g. for month on month movement, variance against forecast and variance against budget
  • Lead / review of accruals and journals for expenses such as consultants, contractors or reclaims
  • Lead monthly forecast process, create forecast reports, support functional reviews for the monthly forecast cycle and provide commentary to senior management on KPIs
  • Ad hoc requests to support Compliance functions with financial or headcount queries, as well as ad-hoc financial analysis for senior management
  • Provide support to the functions on reporting structure, including creating and moving departments or reporting hierarchies
  • Prepare budget transfers to / from functions, including functions external to Compliance
  • Provide templates and support to functions / COO senior management for annual processes, such as departmental budget push-down and financial plan development

Your skills and experience

You will be a good match if you are looking to further develop your career as a financial professional if you have:

  • 6-10 years of work experience with emphasis in finance, budgeting and forecasting ideally with experience in the financial industry
  • University degree or equivalent education (in Accounting, Business Administration, or another relevant field)
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving attitude
  • Proficient in MS Excel (Macros a plus) and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and flexibility to ensure deadlines are met, combined with a solution-oriented attitude
  • Well-developed organizational skills, strong motivation and a positive attitude
  • Excellent communication in English, interpersonal and client management skills
  • Willingness to learn and obtain new knowledge and experience
  • Dedication to fostering an inclusive culture and value diverse perspectives
