About EY GDS Assurance Statutory Audit Excellence (SAE)

EY GDS Assurance SAE practice supports global client serving teams of EY's largest multilocation clients in the management and review of and providing insights across industry sectors for their global statutory audits.

Knowledge, skills and experience:

Technical Competencies
  • Strong audit technical background supplemented with an understanding of the auditing business, geographies, and sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of the Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) and sector knowledge will be an added advantage
  • US GAAP or IFRS knowledge


Leadership and behavioural competencies
  • Effective leadership style with focus on building inclusive culture & high performing teams of global professionals
  • Ability to lead with teams in different contexts & environment with an awareness of group dynamics to drive an inclusive approach
  • Relationship building skills with global customer leadership; ability to interact with all levels credibly
  • Influencing skills -ability to work with ambiguity, and build consensus across diverse,
  • Demonstrates passion & energy at work and in promoting EY values & behaviours
  • Excellent communication & articulation skills with focus on business development & stakeholder management

Education and experience requirements
  • Qualified Auditor (CPA, CA or equivalent qualification)
  • 15+ years of total experience comprising
  • audit within big four accounting firm or from an industry with vast experience of leading a large business unit with people responsibility of approx. 500 professionals
  • Experience with a shared service centre, captive or otherwise, with the responsibility of managing several large processes and/or components across different countries
  • Experience of working in a cross-border, virtual environment and international stint would be preferred
  • Experience with digital and innovation, whether one or many of ideation, development, pilot implementation and scaling.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English
