The role of Financial Controller is not only an investment in the future structure of the finance function, but also an excellent opportunity for you to join at an exciting time in the organisation's journey. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this hands-on role will take ownership of several key areas of finance, including but not limited to:
- Regular exposure to the CEO, CFO and wider group executive team
- Oversight and management of monthly financial reporting including group reporting processes and meeting monthly deadlines
- Year-end statutory reporting, company tax returns and transfer pricing including liaising with external accountants and tax advisors.
- Ensuring statutory compliance across the group including ownership of financial statement audits, tax return lodgements, indirect taxes and insurances.
- Monitoring cashflow and treasury including oversight of AP and payroll processing.
- Drive process improvement initiatives and implement financial control strategies to support business growth
- Review and investigate cost discrepancies and explore opportunities for cost savings
- Set up the accounting & finance structure to support future business expansion
- Support FP&A team on budgeting and forecasting any other ad hoc projects
- Support financial due diligence and integration of business acquisitions

Key attributes include:
- Demonstrated Financial Controller experience corporate environment
- Big 4/Mid Tier experience
- Degree qualified CA / CPA with requisite experience
- Strong Excel and financial modelling skills
- A high level of accuracy, keen eye for detail to deliver high quality output
- Excellent analytical decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Proven ability to contribute positively in a team environment and build strong working relationships across all levels of an organisation
- Self-starter - proactive, ability to work independently and use initiative
- Experience working with finance systems (Netsuite, etc.).
