BDO

Welcome to BDO LLP, where we help people and businesses succeed.

As one of the UK's largest accountancy and business advisory firms, we're proud to work with a wide range of clients, from entrepreneurial enterprises to multinational groups, and we take the same pride in growing your career. With us, you'll get plenty of opportunities to develop your skills in areas that include audit, tax advice, risk management, forensic accounting, business restructuring and corporate finance. But it's the people you'll meet who will really help you succeed.

At BDO, you can be yourself, sharing ideas and opinions with your team, and knowing you'll be respected and valued for your contribution. You can have confidence that you are part of an organisation with purpose, where you'll have variety and opportunity to build your career path alongside people who will help you achieve your goals.

We'll help you succeed

Throughout your 6-week internship you'll gain invaluable knowledge and skills as well as exposure to BDO and our people, which could lead to an offer of a graduate role.

You'll explore different specialisms within your stream and contribute to a range of client projects. This will allow you to expand your portfolio of skills and experience a breadth of opportunity. You will receive extensive training as part of your induction week including specific stream training, information on professional qualifications and workshops specially designed to introduce you to our values and the importance of wellbeing. Applying the knowledge you have learnt about the firm you will also contribute to a group project throughout the internship with peers from different areas of the business.

Working and achieving together, our Tax team thrives on keeping busy. They service our clients around the world with everything from day-to-day compliance with tax authorities to advice on international tax to transaction support on mergers and acquisitions. That diversity of work requires a diversity of talents. Tax attracts specialists for the most technically complex challenges, versatile thinkers for large clients with varied problems and brilliant innovators who create tomorrow's bespoke solutions.

You will work with other members of the Tax team in order to support clients in achieving their goals. This is realised through assisting with day-to-day tax compliance and through specific tax advice.

When you join us
We understand that everyone learns in different ways and the same environment isn't always suited to every task. We'll help you deliver the best quality output by giving you choice and flexibility around how, when and where you work. When you need to work collaboratively, you'll be able to work closely with colleagues, whether that's in our offices, onsite with clients, or one of our brand-new hubs; when you need to focus, you'll be able to work from home or in one of our quiet concentration spaces, using technology to stay connected with colleagues. We'll provide the environment, digital tools and training to enable you to perform at your best, whatever the task in hand, for yourself, your team, and your clients.

When you join us, we'll make your development our priority. If you're the right fit, you'll thrive in an environment built to help you succeed. We're looking for;

• A university student in their penultimate year of university
• A predicted 2:2 degree in any discipline
• Three A-levels or equivalent at A* to C excluding General Studies and Extended Projects (obtained or predicted)
• A 9 - 4 in Maths and English at GCSE or equivalent (we will also consider qualifications from outside the UK)
Our firm is distinctive and we want to preserve and build on the strengths of our culture and the characteristics that make us both successful and different. We look for people from all kinds of backgrounds who share these same qualities.
