IVC Evidensia operates a high growth model and continues to grow at a rapid pace. Due to the company's rapid expansion, we are looking to further grow our Finance Team which forms part of our Support Operations Centre, located between Bristol and Bath.
About the role: This is an interim role for 12 months, with the potential to become permanent within the UK & I Team and is reporting into the Commercial Finance Manager and working closely with our Operational teams and our surgeries to proactively identify issues and opportunities to drive the profitability and efficiency of the group.
The responsibilities will include the ownership of the investment appraisal process and supporting practices in creation of their business cases for capital expenditure approval, or investment committee processes. The post holder will be driving the profitability of the surgeries through detailed forensic analysis of all site profit and loss accounts to identify issues and opportunities, then with the Head of Commercial Finance, drive through actions and resolutions.
The successful candidate will ensure that all key financial issues are highlighted and discussed with clear actions to resolve as well as producing the weekly sales data for the external supplier.

What are we looking for?
- Clear communication of complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
- Strong academically - educated to degree level and professional accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA)
- Must have at previous commercial finance experience in a large company
- Must have analytical experience and the ability to turn financial data into useful Insights
- Analysis needs to be effective and targeted with investigative approach to accounting
- Thrives in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment - flexibility is key
- Excellent IT skills including intermediate/advanced Excel, Power BI, proficient Powerpoint and confident on various management reporting systems
- Detailed understanding of financial processes to be able to identify issues and
- Strong attention to detail and able to deliver 'right-first-time' results quickly without getting lost in the detail
- Deadline-focused and willing to put in the effort required to ensure they always meet them
- Understanding of small companies and how they work, but needs big company background to understand/suggest best practice principles and help to drive change
- A questioning mind; this person should always be looking for where improvements can be made
- Comfortable working within a clinical environment and with varying stakeholder personalities where compassion is a requirement
- Ability to successfully influence the surgeries and other colleagues in Support
- Will need to be happy travelling with occasional overnight stays as the group
