Our client is one of the world's leading Energy and Engineering companies. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a high performing Finance Manager to join their Financial Planning and Analysis Team based in North Sydney.

Reporting to the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, the role of the Finance Manager will be acting as the Financial Consultant and Business Partner for the South Pacific operations.
Description
The primary focus of the Finance Manager will be the following:
- Acting as the Finance Business Partner for the South Pacific region, distribution and operations
- Providing Accurate and timely management reporting and monitoring financial performance against the target and initiating improvements where is needed
- Review, assess and challenge actual performance, forecast, plans, capital expenditures and growth initiatives
Key responsibilities will include the following but not limited to:
- Acting as the Financial Consultant, provide insights regarding the divers of performance and their impact on profitability in a timely, clear and concise manner
- Deliver accurate and timely reporting metrics to the business using standardised tools, tailored delivery methods and fit for purpose technology
- Be a proactive member of the Finance Team and foster key relationships with respective Business Partners
- Monitor financial performance and provide the Leadership Team with financial expertise identifying actions required to achieve desired targets
- Complete annual budgeting process to then monitor actual performance against budget
- Evaluate and challenge the business plans and CAPEX expenditures, striving for highly profitable and sustainable growth
- Ensure compliance with accounting and reporting standards, taking responsibility for the internal control framework and ensure key controls are in place
Profile
The successful application will possess the following attributes:
- Bachelors or Masters in Finance and Accounting or MBA Business degree
- CA/CPA/CIMA or ACCA qualification
- At least 5 years experience in a similar role, providing financial analysis and business partnering
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to relay key financial information to a variety of stakeholders
- Highly analytical mindset and a proven track record of delivering financial analysis to Senior Management with the ability to influence and drive key business decisions
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a broader team
- Hard working, diligent and displays strong attention to detail
- Solution orientated
- Driven, determined and willing to take ownership
