Based in Park West, Dublin 12, Allianz Worldwide Care employs over 900 staff Financial Reporting Accountant - IFRS & Solvency II This role sits on the Statutory and Regulatory Reporting team. The purpose of this role is to ensure that the Statutory and Regulatory Reporting team can meet Allianz Group reporting requirements and Solvency II reporting requirements to the Financial Regulator and other external bodies as required. The Financial Reporting Accountant should look to implement processes and system updates to support the regular reporting deadlines. Responsibilities -Assist with the completion of the quarterly Solvency II Reporting requirements. -Support the Financial Reporting team in the preparation of the month-end accounts. -Support the submission of the Qualitative Reporting Templates to the Financial Regulator. -Take responsibility for Solvency II Allianz Group reporting, including the Target Close process, adhering to strict quarterly and monthly deadlines. -Assist the Financial Reporting Team and Pillar 1 Allianz Worldwide Partners team where required with ad-hoc Financial Reporting requirements and new business projects as they arise. -Assist the Financial Reporting team with Quarterly and Annual Regulatory and Statutory Filings. -Assist with the completion of the Solvency II Preparatory Reporting requirements -Keep up to date with developments, technical papers and standards, with regards to Financial Reporting and Legislation impacting the Insurance Industry. -Enhance processes and procedures at the outset and on an ongoing basis to ensure a strong control environment. Experience Required -Hold a third level degree and a professional Accountancy Qualification, with strong regulatory and financial reporting experience. -At least 1-2 years post qualification experience, either in Financial Services company or Insurance related experience. -Knowledge of Solvency II and SAP would be a distinct advantage but is not a prerequisite. -Knowledge of IFRS, with relevant experience. -Strong interpersonal skills with ability to manage relationships both internal and external. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills; -Strong financial and analytical skills. -Strong Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills. -Ability to work to strict deadlines on particular project, delivering milestones and key deadlines. -Ability to work well as part of a team. -Decision making in a busy, deadline driven environment.
