Client Details
Our client is expanding and is one of the well-known manufacturer in their industry.
Description
- Ensure compliance of corporate financial policy and procedures, with applicable standards and statutory requirements that aligns to the corporate goals to support the business.
- Identify improvements and opportunities on the company's financial situation that will result in greater efficiency and effectiveness, considering both short- and long-term goals.
- Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and develop strategies with a form of framework design that will shape the success of meeting the targeted goals.
- Collaborate and work closely with various departments, able to discuss, review, articulate and recommend suggestions/ideas that contributes towards greater success of the company and financial plans.
- Perform month-end finance closing, including passing of journal entries, prepare management report and variance analysis that compares against forecast and budget.
- Perform monthly P&L forecasting, monitoring, highlighting and suggesting advice including improvements when variances are expected to exceed the threshold.
- Minimize financial risks by assessing and evaluating potential direct/indirect impacts from the variances, which may impact the company and/or its future business decisions.
- Complete and report weekly P&L updates. o Represent as the Leader of Annual Budgetary Process to guide, compile and review overall budget for final submission to HR Corporate Finance.
- Prepare year-end simple amalgamation (for the Malaysia sites) and consolidation of P&L and Balance Sheets, liaise with external auditor and ensure timely completion of the audit requirements as well as obtaining Audit Reports.
- Perform consistent review of financial analysis methods and tools; implement improvements as needed to improve the quality of analysis.
- Ensure compliance with bank covenants and tax requirements, including Malaysia GST, withholding taxes and custom duties.
- Ensure accounting system operates efficiently.
- Monitor and ensure smooth payment processing including repayment of bank loan.
- Maintain good fixed assets register.
- Assist on reviewing Commercial Contracts, ensuring the financial aspects are in-line with corporate policies such as Payment Terms and incoterm.
- Check and review bank accounts to ensure healthy cash-flow position.
- Manage company cash-flow including AR & AP trade financing.
- Liaise with bankers, auditors, secretaries, lawyers and tax agents.
- Support the Company and Group initiatives which may include some ad-hoc tasks as and when requested.
Profile
- A degree or diploma in Finance or Accountancy with at least 5 or more years of finance
- experience, preferably with multi-national companies.
- Good proven track record is a must.
- Have experiences working in companies with manufacturing operations.
- A self-starter with good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills - English proficiency, verbally and written, is a must.
- Speak fluently, able to read and write in Chinese is a plus.
