Financial Accountant

A Qualified Financial Accountant is required to join a leading, well known non-for-profit Charity on a full time, permanent basis in Stockport

The position will be supporting the Senior Financial Accountant and you will be jointly responsible for the day to day management of the Financial Reporting Team, producing accounts and providing management/financial information to support the Executive team and Trustees.

• Prepare monthly management accounts and management information reports.
• Oversee month end procedures
• Ensure that balance sheet accounts and bank accounts are properly reconciled on a monthly
  basis
• Produce annual cash flow forecasts, and to review against actual performance
• Produce variance and budget reports
• Participate in the production of an annual budget for the organisation
• Reporting of KPIs, value for money analysis and competitor analysis
• Assisting the Senior Financial Accountant with the implementation of the
  external audit process
• Participate in the production of annual group accounts
• To maintain the fixed asset register and depreciation
• To complete regulatory and statutory accounts
• To maintain an overview of taxation and VAT

Essential:

• ACCA/ACA/CIMA Qualified Accountant
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Previously prepared management accounts and involved in cash flow forecasting

Desirable:

• Experience of managing and mentoring junior staff
• Previous experience within the not-for-profit (Charity/Housing) sector
