Senior Internal Auditor

NRG are pleased to be working alongside a large organisation in the North East in their search for a Senior Internal Auditor.

Job Responsibilities:

·Manage and Undertake Internal Audit Reviews

·Manage and undertake risk based internal audit reviews

·To supervise and review audit work performed by members of the team

·Ensure that draft reports are submitted to the Internal Audit Manager

·Managing / Developing Continual Professional Development

·Maintain and build internal and external relationships

·Assist the Internal Audit Manager in the identification and development of training needs for Internal Audit staff

·Proactively seek to continually develop personal skills and capabilities to deliver requirements of role

·Audits are delivered within agreed man days

·Audits are delivered within agreed duration timescales

·First draft issued within agreed timescales

·Audit reports are issued in final within agreed timescales

Person Specification:

·Ability to supervise staff

·Good workload management skills

·Good reporting capabilities

·Ability to challenge in a constructive manner

·Good risk assessment skills

·2 years post qualified experience.

·Previous experience of working in internal audit

·Degree qualified

·Professional qualification in accountancy or internal audit

·Good understanding of financial services sector

This is a fixed term contract for 6 months. £35-£45k
