Commercial Management Accountant/Finance Manager

Our client is a well-established, highly regarded household name Retailer with revenues in excess of £2Bn and impressive year on year growth. In this highly visible commercial role you will report directly to the Financial Controller in a newly created role taking responsibility for Business Partnering and producing Management Accounts for the Distribution arm of the business. In this highly commercial MA role you will work closely with the Warehouse Senior Management Team, responsible for P&L reporting across this area of the business and working to deliver best practice and improved operational performance/efficiency across all drivers affecting financial performance. Your duties will include:

• Monthly Management Accounts for this £100m division of the business
• Ensuring all costs are correctly captured and reported on in an accurate and timely manner.
• Identifying opportunities and presenting suggestions to improve performance
• Business Partnering with Senior Managers. - communicating with stakeholders on a regular basis
• Issuing monthly / weekly financial updates to the Warehouse Senior Management Team
• Resolves and finance related issues within commercial operations
• Reporting on financial KPI's and working to develop a more effective reporting suite to provide full visibility and to meet the evolving demands of the business

Applicants will be strong Commercial Accountants with broad management accounting skills and the financial and commercial acumen required to control cost centres and delivery optimum efficiency and performance. You will have a strong personality, with the gravitas to forge strong relationships with budget holders/operations teams across the distribution divisions of the business. You will be confident providing support & direction and also challenging operations teams as necessary, influencing both up and down the chain. You will have excellent planning/organisational skills and a passion for service excellence. Applicants will preferably be fully qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACCA or though non-qualified applicants who have operated in a similar profile role within the distribution/retail sector will also be considered. Salary envisaged £35-45k (Our client is looking to consdioer a range of applicants) plus good benefits and excellent prospects.
