Our partner, an international development and humanitarian organisation is looking to recruit a senior international and assurance manager to deliver high quality internal audit assignments and undertake special investigations as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform internal audits & assurance assignments, following up on audit recommendations, and offering capacity building and technical assistance to staff in the country offices in implementing recommendations & meeting the compliance requirements.
• Undertake special investigations & carry out special reviews as required.
• Support the Director of Internal Audit in preparing the annual audit plan.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant with significant experience in audit, specifically in grant audit with demonstrable knowledge of the compliance and requirements of institutional donors including FCDO, ECHO and USAID, and also in delivering effective internal audit assignments.
• Demonstrable experience in working to tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills, both written (report writing) and oral, in English. Working knowledge of an additional language, such as French or Arabic is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills, able to be tactful and have sensitive/challenging conversations.
• Willing to travel overseas, including to fragile states.

At present, staff are working from home. Once restrictions are eased, they will be offering  a hybrid working model with the individual expected to be in the London office on a part-time basis. This role is only open to those candidates who are UK-based and who have the right to work in the UK.
