Make an impact with our Corporate Finance team as a Senior Associate. Responsibilities

  • Execute mandates for business mergers and acquisitions, business sales, financing, due diligence, and assistance in preparing financial projections;
  • Conduct detailed analysis relating to quality of earnings reviews, sustainability of EBITDA, quality of assets, working capital profile and potential risks and opportunities;
  • Design and prepare technical analyses, projections and models;
  • Attend meetings with clients, brokers, bankers or investors as part of mandates or as part of business development;
  • Conduct market and industry research to identify trends, summarize them and draw general conclusions;
  • Writes and prepares high quality documents including mandate letters, reports, presentations and correspondence;
  • Find ways to strengthen client relationships and add value;
  • Willing to travel as required.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting;
  • Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or in the process of obtaining one;
  • 2+ years of assurance experience in an accounting firm is an asset;
  • 1 to 2 years of corporate finance or mergers and acquisition experience
  • Relevant experience in buying and selling businesses, financial statement preparation and analysis, and financial modeling (an asset);
  • Business valuation designation in progress (an asset);
  • Strong technical accounting skills;
  • Strong computer skills, including effective working skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, accounting software (an asset) such as Acomba, Simply Accounting and Quickbooks;
  • Spoken and written French, functional English, bilingualism French/English (an asset);
  • Travel may be required;
  • Experience in business and practice development
