Description
Reporting to the CFO, you will be part of the Group Finance team based in Kuala Lumpur. The role of the Group FP&A manager is to drive business performance and build a best-in-class FP&A function, creating value for dynamic growth trajectory businesses by delivering financial analysis and actionable insights, planning and management reporting to optimize business performance.
The rapid growth of the Group and the increasing complexity driven by new acquisitions, changes to business models make this role an exciting, interesting, and very challenging proposition. Expected to co-drive performance, take the lead in building FP&A processes for the future, as well as manage regular reporting, forecasting, and general planning. The role is very broad based and will require an individual who is motivated to make a big impact for the Group
- Ensure accurate forecasting and reporting; timely forecast submission and provision of value-added financial analysis and modelling
- Manage the forecast process in conjunction with key stakeholders, and in collaboration with the rest of the wider finance team
- Develop and manage the rolling monthly forecast model while providing timely insights into performance against budget/forecast
- Prepare management reporting packs to the Board as required and directed from time to time
- Develop incisive analysis and reporting to give actionable insights to business performance and trends, including use of KPIs
- Lead planning and budgeting activities as directed by the CFO
- Enhance the understanding of key business levers for classifieds/marketplace performance
- Develop a best-in-class business scorecard dashboard in collaboration with operations team
- Deliver annual budgets, quarterly guidance, and monthly and weekly forecasts as well as related financial planning & analysis
- Act as 2IC to the CFO where required.
Profile
To be successful in this role, the following skills and qualities are expected:
- Chartered Accountant qualified: ACCA or CIMA, or equivalent
- At least 8 years' experience in FP&A with audit experience, demonstrable success at developing quality insights for senior management teams
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
- Versatile, proactive, logical thinker, resilient, inquisitive.
- Possess a continuous improvement mindset and drive for excellence
- Exceptional Excel and financial modelling skills
- Digital or Technology background preferable
- Exceptional communication skills working with multiple levels of management
- Ability to meet tight deadlines with a logical, methodical approach to prioritising tasks and responsibilities
- Commercially aware, able to think both analytically and strategically, to think logically about underlying business issues
- A willingness to get involved in the business to understand the story behind the numbers
- Pro-active in resolving queries and problems and highlighting future potential areas of risk
- Experience with different accounting systems
- Good command of written and spoken English
