We are looking for a Compliance Assurance Professional with expertise in Prudential Regulations to join our fast-growing Global Risk and Compliance Assurance Team, and support the rollout and execution of our second line of defense Prudential risk monitoring. The successful candidate is an ambitious self-starter, with a proven capability to work independently, having strong analytical and organizational skills and an extensive knowledge in the UK, EU ( Asia Pacific and MENA are a plus) Prudential Regulations regime and relevant Assurance practices.

This role can be based in London, Luxembourg, Cork, Barcelona, Dubai, Singapore or Japan.

Key job responsibilities
The role is uniquely placed to work directly with Regional Leaders to drive scalable testing and monitoring solutions across many areas of the Prudential regulatory spectrum and help maintain a "compliant status" vis-à-vis regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate will be the subject matter expert in Prudential Assurance area, for Amazon's regulated entities globally and will therefore work closely with the Assurance team stakeholders (Compliance Officers, Payments Risk, Governance, Treasury, Finance and Accounting and other Operational and Support teams) to provide Senior Management with adequate visibility of the entities' Prudential risk exposure.
The successful candidate is ideally responsible for translating Prudential regulatory requirements to actionable recommendations and controls for the first line of defense by assessing risks, producing regulatory analysis and reports, and designing continuous risk monitoring solutions. The candidate is also a quick learner with an ability to absorb the nuances of Amazon's varied payment offerings, their risks and internal systems and practices.
The successful candidate should have strong business and communication skills, able to influence senior stakeholders via data-driven and actionable insights. The successful candidate will also:
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge and solid understanding of relevant UK, EU, MENA and Asia Pacific regulations;
• Significantly contribute to the design, development, implementation, and execution of compliance assurance testing in his area of expertise, lead issue validation activities with stakeholders and reporting to Senior Management;
• Assist in the wider supervisory process where necessary, including business model assessment, internal capital adequacy assessment, own risk and solvency assessment, stress testing etc.;
• Continuously Identify industry best practices and contribute to the improvement of the Assurance Program;
• Embrace the use of data analytics to increase value and reduce costs of compliance-related assurance activities.

Basic Qualifications:
• 7+ years of experience in banking, payments and/or e-commerce companies within the second line Prudential Assurance in the UK and/or the EU.
• Prior knowledge of the Prudential Regulations and regulatory expectations faced by licensed payment institutions or equivalent in the UK and/or the EU (MENA is a plus).
• Experience advising, supervising, interpreting and communicating complex Prudential Regulations to a diverse audience;
• Demonstrable experience of influencing stakeholders and senior stakeholders;
• Proven strong written and verbal communication skills;
• Proven experience in leading or supervising others to deliver multiple projects and/or reports on time and at the highest standards;
• Passion for collaborating with high energy and focus, driving results across multiple assurance reviews.
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced, changing environment; relentless innovator.
• Demonstrated capability to challenge status quo and champion best-in-class technical solutions and problem solving.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior knowledge in Prudential Regulations across several sectors (Payment Companies, Issuers, Insurance) or regulatory landscapes (MiFID, Solvency II) etc.;
• Prior Knowledge or experience of capital management, capital structuring/adequacy, safeguarding;
• Familiarity with liquidity adequacy assessments, funds transfer pricing, recovery and wind-down planning;
• Certification in Risk Management, Finance, Actuarial or Accounting related areas such FRM, PMI-RMP, CPA, CFA etc.
