The opportunity

As a Transaction Diligence Manager, you'll participate in due diligence engagements related to transactions involving private equity investor groups and strategic corporate buyers. You'll analyze the financial and operational results of companies targeted for sale by reviewing accounting records and participating in or leading interviews with management. Drawing on your experience, you'll assist in managing engagement economics by organizing staffing, tracking fees and communicating issues to project leaders, ensuring that work complies with our Quality & Risk Management (Q&RM) procedures. You'll also participate in business development initiatives. As an influential member of the team, you'll help to create a positive learning culture and will coach and counsel junior team members and support their development.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Help people to develop through effectively supervising, coaching and mentoring
  • Conduct performance reviews and contribute to feedback for counselees/ team
  • Contribute to people initiatives, including recruiting, retaining and training Transaction Support professionals
  • Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures
  • Build strong internal relationships with members of the Transaction Diligence team and other EY services
  • ‘Live’ our shared culture and values at all times and encourage your team members to do the same

To qualify for the role you must have:

  • Strong transaction support background (at least 4 years) or Financial Audit experience (at least 4 years) + due diligence experience
  • Big 4 experience (preferable)
  • Proven track record of working under pressure and delivering on deadlines
  • Excellent analytical and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Strong written and verbal communication – English
  • Understanding of purchase accounting
  • Knowledge of IFRS
  • Understanding of Quality & Risk Management (Q&RM) procedures
  • Strong work initiative and the ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas
  • CA or equivalent international qualification in TS preferred
