The Children's Society has been helping children and young people in this country for over 130 years. We run local services that support children when they are at their most vulnerable and in desperate need of help. We're there for children, every step of the way.
This role sits within our Finance and Corporate Resources Directorate, which provides finance services to the Society. Your role will be to lead the team processing initial transactions to provide complete and accurate data, and to manage the Society's cash position.
We are currently looking for a great leader of people and champion of customer service to join our dynamic, ambitious team.
A key part of this role will be your ability to get the absolute best out of your dedicated team while manage conflicting priorities in workload for you and them.
In order to be successful in this role, you must have:
-Experience of leading people in the processing of financial transactions and in processing them yourself
-Excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and preferably Open Accounts
-A foundation accounting qualification
-A focus on moving the Finance Officer team on to their next success
-Great communication skills to help people outside the Finance Department with technical needs and to be able to respond to their requirements
-Willingness to get involved in day-to-day operations in the Finance Department
